Another Phase Of Russian Military Hardware Withdrawal From Dniestr Republic Completed

On Tuesday, the third echelon of the military hardware of the Russian Tactical Headquarters left Tiraspol, the capital of the self-proclaimed Dniestr Republic on Moldova's territory. The echelon is made up of infantry combat vehicles, self-propelled artillery systems, and armoured reconnaissance vehicles, 40 vehicles total. A RIA Novosti correspondent reports that Head of Russian Rear Forces and Deputy Defence Minister Colonel General Vladimir Isakov delivered this information. According to Mr. Isakov, the fourth and last echelon of the Russian military hardware comprising rear and logistics unit will leave Tiraspol for Russia on Wednesday. "The four echelons comprise the total of 125 combat vehicles and over 100 tons of military and technical equipment," he said. Mr. Isakov added that all vehicles and equipment would be delivered to storage bases and facilities located to the east of the Ural Mountains. Mr. Isakov refuted the information that the hardware from the Dniestr Republic will be transferred to Afghanistan as military and technical assistance to the Rabbani government.
