World Needs Permanent Efficient Alliance To Fight Terrorism: Putin

It takes a full-fledged permanently functioning alliance for the world to fight international terrorism, said President Vladimir Putin as he met at the Russian Embassy with US Administration officers, Congressmen and top spokesmen of political and business circles tonight. The world is facing an essential task--to demonstrate solidarity against terror. To meet that goal, countries on the anti-terror crusade must cement their unity. Terrorism is an enemy all share. It is outside ethnicity, religion and civilisation. Law-enforcement bodies, and customs and secret services must spectacularly improve their work to face the formidable challenge, which also requires coordinated information policies, said President Putin. Attending the ambassadorial conference, among other American and global household figures, were Colin Powell, US Secretary of State; Carl Levin, head of the Senate committee for the armed forces; Richard Lugar, prominent on the Senate committee for foreign affairs; and Samuel Berger and Zbigniew Brzezinski, former presidential National Security Advisers.
