Russian President Vladimir Putin will meet in New York with UN Secretary General Kofi Annan. As RIA Novosti correspondent reports, deputy head of the Kremlin administration Sergei Prikhodko told reporters about it. According to him, during this conversation it is planned to discuss the role of the United Nations in the post-crisis settlement in Afghanistan. They also will speak about the role of the United Nations in strengthening international relations as a whole, about raising the efficiency of the existing UN mechanisms and about activity of the UN Secretary General's special representative in Afghanistan Lakhdar Ibrahimi.
