Russia's Security Council Secretary Leaves For France

Secretary of the Russian Security Council Vladimir Rushailo left for France Monday. He pays a working visit on the instruction of President Vladimir Putin. The visit will last till November 21. Before his departure Vladimir Rushailo told journalists that his visit should be another step on the way of coordinating Russian and French stances on the key aspects of security and combating international terrorism. According to him, Russia and France have a solid basis for constructive cooperation, joint search of answers to dangerous challenges of the new century. It is important to use all available resources and opportunities, he stressed. The visit's programme envisages Vladimir Rushailo meetings with representatives of French political and military leadership, in the course of which he intends to discuss a wide range of issues of the two countries' cooperation in different spheres and, first of all, in international and regional security. A special attention will be paid to Russia-France anti-terrorist cooperation.
