Russian-Moldovan Summit Talks In Kremlin

The Russian-Moldovan summit talks are being held in the Green drawing-room of the Grand Kremlin Palace. Vladimir Putin and Vladimir Voronin are talking in the presence of their assistants only. Opening the talks, Vladimir Putin said he was happy to greet the Moldovan President in Moscow in the light of his first official visit to Russia. The Russian President expressed satisfaction with the fact that Russian and Moldovan experts together with Vladimir Voronin are prepared to sign the Agreement on friendship and collaboration between Russia and Moldova. Putin also pointed out that there had been a lot of the activity to settle economic issues between the two countries. The Agreement on friendship and collaboration which is to be signed in the Kremlin will develop relations between the two countries, Vladimir Voronin stressed.
