3,000-euro Prize For Best Euro-related Piece Of Art

A 3,000-euro prize will go to a winner in the Moscow pictorial arts competition dedicated to the new European currency. The competition is timed to coincide with January 1, 2002, the day when the euro is to be put into circulation, and December 11, when the Euro Day is marked in the Russian capital. The competition is sponsored by its organisers -- the European Commission, Embassy of Belgium in Moscow and the European Business Club, said the Moscow office of the European Club on Monday. Participants may offer their paintings /drawing, watercolours, oil, pencil/ and sculptures from November 20 to December 4.
