George Robertson's Visit To Moscow Aims At Determining Cooperation In The Format Of "20"

The aim of NATO Secretary General George Robertson's visit to Moscow was to determine those cooperation spheres, in which collaboration in the format of "twenty" would be more efficient than in the format of "19 countries of the alliance plus Russia." This was disclosed by George Robertson Friday at the final press conference in Moscow. According to him, the talks with Russian leaders focused on search of those spheres, in which it would be expedient to develop new forms of cooperation. At the same time, he pointed out that this is subject for further discussion. Among the possible issues, in which it would be efficient to use the "twenty" format, Robertson named combating terrorism as well as non-proliferation of mass destruction weapons.
