Russia-NATO Council To Convene In Brussels Early In December

Following a meeting between the Russian president and NATO secretary-general George Robertson today, Foreign Minister Igor Ivanov who attended the Kremlin rendez-vous, said the next session of the standing Russia-NATO Council would take place in Brussels at the foreign minister level early this December-they will deliberate wider contacts. For his part, George Robertson made it clear that NATO will spend the remaining fortnight before the session in looking for wider Russia-NATO cooperation in the new format.
