Russian President Orders To Hold Year Of Ukraine In Russia

Russian president Vladimir Putin has ordered to hold a year of Ukraine in Russia. According to the press service of the head of state, the Year will be held in Russia in 2002 with the purpose of further developing Russo-Ukrainian relations and expanding bilateral ties in the areas of science, education, and culture. The president instructed to set up an organisational committee in a bid to coordinate activities of federal executive bodies and executives in the federation members. The committee is to be headed by chief of the Kremlin administration Alexander Voloshin.
