CIS Premiers Meet For A Session In Moscow

The Council of Premiers of the Commonwealth of Independent States will meet for a session in Moscow on November 29 to consider a draft report on the results of activity of the CIS over the past decade and its tasks for an outlook, plus a number of topical issues related to interstate cooperation, reported the Moscow office of the CIS Executive Committee. The session agenda contains 20 items, including a summary of the main efforts to lift trade restrictions, a convention of international mortgage transactions in CIS, and the method of arranging interaction while liquidating the consequences of natural calamities and technogenic emergencies. Apart from economic matters, session participants will discuss a number of issues brought up by the Council of Foreign Ministers of the CIS, such as a draft decision on preparations for the 60th anniversary of the victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945, a draft protocol on the methods of organising and conducting joint anti-terrorist operations on the territory of the Commonwealth, a draft agreement on the setting up of a council of presidents of higher arbitration, economic and other courts responsible for settling economic disputes.
