Russian Border Guards Confiscated About 48 Kg Of Heroin On Tajik-Afghan Border

About 48 kg of heroin were confiscated by Russian border guards on the Tajik-Afghan border. The press service of the Russian border guards in Tajikistan reported that in early hours of January 10th Russian border guards saw two persons on the Pyandzh section of the border detachment who tried to penetrate Tajikistan from Afghanistan. The border guards tried to detain them but the trespassers disappeared due to darkness. The place was inspected, and two bags with heroin weighing 27.430 kg discovered. In addition, in the day time of January 9 the border guards together with the staff workers of the drugs control agency under the president of Tajikistan discovered a cache with 19 packages of heroin with a total weight of 20 kg at the section of the Moscow border detachment.
