Israelis Destroy Principal Runway At International Palestinian Airport In Gaza

On Friday morning the Israelis destroyed the principal runway at the international Palestinian airport in Gaza. According to Faiz Zaidan, the head of the civil aviation authority, 10 Israeli bulldozers and tanks totally destroyed the runway, the Palestinian sources said. The restoration work was carried out at the Gaza airport after the Israeli air strikes on December 4, 2001 in response to several terrorist acts committed by Palestinian suicidal radicals in Israel.
