Mi-8 Helicopter Crashes In Afghanistan

Twenty-one men have died in a Mi-8 helicopter crash in Afghanistan. There were three crewmen and 18 passengers aboard. This information was disclosed by Abdoul Vadoud Kouddous, the military attache of the Afghan Embassy in Dushanbe. According to him, the helicopter of the Afghan governmental armed forces was flying from Talukan, the main town of the Tajik-bordering province of Tahar, to Kabul. Fifteen minutes later, the helicopter denied radio contact with the ground control. It is highly likely that the crew had lost the flight direction in a dense fog. As a result, the helicopter crashed into a rock and burned down. The passengers of the flight have not been identified yet, Kouddous added.
