U.S. Withdrawal From ABM Treaty No Surprise For NATO

NATO was not surprised to hear statements of U.S. representatives on the withdrawal of the United States from the 1972 ABM Treaty, a source at the North-Atlantic alliance's office told a RIA Novosti correspondent. At the same time, the source stressed that this is the issue of bilateral relations between Russia and the USA. The source emphasised that NATO currently has no official data on the topic. That's why it is premature to speak about the alliance's official stand, whose development should involve all the allies.
