Last night Israeli security officers arrested HAMAS leaders in the Palestinian town of Hebron, on the West Bank of the Jordan river. Israeli troops have entered Arab districts in north-western Hebron. In keeping with agreements, these districts belong to the so-called A Zone and are controlled by the Palestinian National Authority. Eight Palestinians have been arrested.
