Fire On Russian Fishing Schooner In Sea Of Japan

The Russian Tafik-1 fishing schooner caught fire early on Thursday morning. This happened in the Japanese Sea, 100 km away from the Hokkaido island. The 23 members of the crew managed to escape, according to the Russian Emergencies Ministry press service. The crew bordered on life rafts, and, later, the STM-16 fishing vessel found them. Then, the crew transferred to the Dmitry Peskov research vessel, which is due to take the sailors to Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk.
