Azeri Security Get Illegal Migration Gang

Officers of Azerbaijan's National Security Ministry caught red-handed a transnational gang who had specialised in paper forgeries and arranging illegal migrations, ministerial PR say in a public statement. The operation started as security officers arrested one Abduljalil Khan Hattak, Pakistani national, at the Astara checkpoint as he was crossing the Azeri frontier from Iran with a fake passport. A search in his Baku flat revealed fake stamps and forms of Azeri and other government offices--in particular, the Azeri Foreign Ministry consular department, the Azeri Embassy to Pakistan, and the Pakistani consulate in Turkmenistan, alongside forms of several Baku-based private companies. Another three are prosecuted on the case--Hazar Muhammad Tajmuhammad of Pakistan, Russia's Ramazan Nusukhanov, and Vughar Omarov, Azeri national. Criminal proceedings are on, and the files have been forwarded to the judiciary. As the investigation has established, the detained Pakistanis used the host country for illegal migrant transits, and were regularly forging papers to prolong their own visas and residence permits of their clients--aliens on sojourn in Azerbaijan.
