Russian Foreign Minister To Discuss Afghan Situation And Combating Terrorism In Beijing

Russian Foreign Minister Igor Ivanov will meet his Chinese counterpart Tang Jiaxuan on January 7 in Beijing. This information was disclosed by informed sources in the Russian capital. The sources added that the Russian Minister would set out for Beijing on January 6. The next day he will take part in the extraordinary session of the Shanghai Cooperation organisation (SCO.) The situation in Afghanistan, progress of the US anti-terrorist operation, as well as ways to combat international terrorism and the issues of developing bilateral cooperation are expected to be on top of the agenda during the bilateral meeting of the two officials.
