Foreign Minister To Discuss Upcoming Visit Of Turkmen President To Russia
Russian Foreign Minister Igor Ivanov will arrive in Turkmenistan on a two-day official visit today. He will hold a number of meetings with the leadership of this republic. In particular, Ivanov will meet with Turkmen President Saparmurat Niyazov and Turkmen Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov over the upcoming visit of the Turkmen leader to Russia scheduled for January 21. In addition, the Russian Foreign Minister and the Turkmen President will discuss key international and regional problems connected with the situation in Afghanistan.
