Germany Introduces Economic Sanctions against Ukraine

Germany has today announced that it is introducing economic sanctions against Ukraine. This information, published by German magazine Spiegel, was confirmed for Rosbalt's correspondent by the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry.

According to official information, the move was initiated by the German Federal Financial Control Agency. Every monetary transfer from Germany to Ukraine is now expected to require permission from either the prosecutor's office or regional authorities. The new sanctions against Ukraine are part of the German Government's fight against money laundering.
