Russian merchant ship sinks in South China Sea

The Russian motor ship President Pik sunk in the South China Sea on Monday, reported the Chief Emergencies and Civil Defence Department of Primorye.

The 23 crew were saved by Chinese sailors and safely delivered to the port of Fuzhou.

The motor ship had been heading for Haiphong, Vietnam, for repairs and had been caught in a storm.
