Japanese delegation arrives in Khabarovsk to prepare visit by Junichiro Koizumi

A Japanese delegation arrived on Saturday in Khabarovsk, a major city in the Russian Far East to prepare the visit by Japanese Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi. The delegation includes Japanese Ambassador to Russia Issei Nomura and several members of the Japanese Cabinet.

The Japanese Ambassador told RIA Novosti that the official visit by Prime Minister to Moscow and, later, to Khabarovsk was aimed at deepening and advancing bilateral relations. "We want to take utmost efforts to make the first official visit by a Japanese Prime Minister to a city of the Russian Far East successful and useful." The Japanese delegation will get familiarised with the city, visit industrial enterprises, hold meetings with businessmen involved in Russo-Japanese economic relations.
