Experts study causes for Norwegian Air Forces plane crash in Kirghizia

Experts of the anti-terrorist coalition forces air base, situated at the international airport "Manas" nearby Bishkek, are studying the possible causes of the crash of the Norwegian Air Force plane.

According to the staff of the air base, the Norwegian fighter F-16 crashed while landing at the "Manas" airport early on Wednesday morning. One of the plane's wheels fell off while it was coming to a stop. The pilot, who had been on his tactical mission in Afghanistan, was not injured. The plane will be sent for repairs.

At present day approximately 1,200 officers and soldiers of the coalition forces from 8 different countries are deployed at the "Manas" air base. They possess 18 F-16 fighters, belonging to the Norwegian, Dutch and Danish Air Forces, and about 10 transportation planes and aerial tankers.
