Latvian Defense Minister: Many Members of Latvian Parliament Are Moscow's Spies

One fifth of deputies of the Latvian Sejm work for Moscow and it is not possible to trust them with secret information. This statement was made by Latvian Minister of Defense Girts Valdis Kristivskis in an interview with Latvian newspaper Lauku Avize.

The minister said that there is a fraction within the sejm (parliament) through which government secrets leak out to Moscow as if through a ventilator. Mr Kristovskis believes that the leak is strongest in the committee for national security, where members of this fraction preside. However, the minister failed to expand on the exact identity of this fraction.
