Agreement on Armenia's passing enterprises to pay off its national debt has been ratified

Armenia's National Assembly has ratified the Armenian-Russian intergovernmental agreement on Armenia's passing enterprises to Russia in order to pay off its national debt.

According to the agreement Russia receives five Armenian enterprises' shares worth about one hundred million dollars.

The shares of the five Armenian enterprises will be passed to Russia within the two coming months, Russia's chairman of the government Mikhail Kasyanov said earlier in Yerevan. After that the Russian side will announce who will manage the enterprises, which may be involved in Russia's arms program.

The Razdanskaya hydroelectric station, AOZT Mars, AOZT Yerevan scientific and research institute of automated administrative systems and AOZT Yerevan scientific and research institute of material study will pass to Russia's ownership.
