Should Albanian Parties Win Elections in Macedonia, Russia Will Send in Her Peacemakers

Should Albanian parties win in the elections in Macedonia, Skopie will be forced to ask Russia to send her peacemakers to a number of large Macedonian cities and towns. This is according to the statement made, while talking with Rosbalt's reporter, by Slobodan Ivanowski, the spokesman for the Blagodenstviye (Prosperity), the main Slavic community of Macedonia. Mr. Ivanowski said that at this time no one, including NATO's peacemakers, could guaranty that Albanians, if they win in the elections, will not begin forming their armed groups in the north of the country.

There up to 50 separate active gangs of armed militants in the parts of Macedonia populated by ethnic Albanians. The bandits call themselves the Albanian Liberation Army. These groups have lately kidnapped and killed at least 100 people.
