Four more Russians may still be at Guantanamo

Four more Russian citizens may be at the Guantanamo US military base in Cuba, where supporters of the Taleban movement captured during the anti-terrorist operation in Afghanistan, are being kept, Sergei Fridinsky, Deputy Prosecutor-General of the Russian Federation, said in Rostov-on-Don (Southern Russia) on Thursday.

Sergei Fridinsky said that the information that there may be four Russians at the Guantanamo base had come through diplomatic channels. According to Fridinsky, a message has been forwarded to the US Attorney General in which the Russian prosecutor's office requests information on these persons.

It has so far been exactly established that three Russian citizens are at the Guantanamo military base, recalled Fridinsky.
