Georgia promises to consider extradition of Chechen warlord

Georgian authorities will consider the extradition of Chechen warlordRuslan Gelayev to Russia in the event he is found and detained in Georgia,the head of the international relations department of the Georgian generalprosecutor's office reported today. According to the official, in November2001, the Georgian general prosecutor's office received data from Russiancounterparts on the possible location of Gelayev in Georgia.
