USA prepares to abandon Ukraine and switch to Taiwan
USA will dump Ukraine for Taiwan
Political analyst Dmitry Zhuravlev believes that Washington will stop providing military support to Ukraine if it deems it necessary to strengthen US military presence in Taiwan.
Also, the US authorities may refuse assistance to Ukraine in the event Beijing continues rising sanctions pressure, the specialist believes.
"Taiwan will be a bigger issue for the Americans than Ukraine. The Americans will abandon Ukraine only if they don't have the strength to pull both,” said the expert, Ura.Ru publication reports.
US media have been switching public attention from Ukraine to Taiwan lately, the expert said. This is how Washington readies to change its political course and prepare the general public for it.
