Ukraine will run out of shells for HIMARS in four months – US Colonel

US Colonel says when Ukraine to run out of shells for HIMARS

If a large number of American HIMARS multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS) are supplied to Kyiv, then the stocks of shells for them may run out in four months. This was stated by US Marine Colonel Mark Kanchian. In his opinion, it is necessary to make supplies limited.

“As long as you only have 12 or 20 HIMARS systems, ammunition consumption will not be a problem in the short term,” the expert shared his opinion in an interview with The Drive.

Earlier, the leadership of the Kyiv regime requested a hundred MLRS HIMARS, which is 20% of the US such installations. Washington has only approved 20 units so far.

Reserve General Hertling noted that if 16 HIMARS units fired the entire warhead twice a day, then 5,800 shells would go out in a month. He emphasized that one installation costs about seven million dollars, and the GMLRS projectile costs 168 thousand dollars.
