Global Times reveals the mistake of 20 years ago that US repeats in Ukraine

The United States is repeating in Ukraine its 20-year-old mistake made in Afghanistan, writes Chinese newspaper The Global Times.

By pumping weapons to Kyiv, the American leadership believes that they are repeating the Afghan "success". However, as the newspaper recalls, the result of the 20-year occupation by the United States of Afghanistan was that American troops had to be withdrawn from the country, abandoning their recent allies.
