DPR: Less than 10% of Ukrainian military personnel remained after the Russian operation

About 10% of the military personnel remained in the Armed Forces of Ukraine after the start of Russian special military operation, the rest were wounded, killed or captured. This was announced on Tuesday to TASS agency by the Deputy head of the Ministry of information of the Donetsk People's Republic Daniil Bezsonov.

"Of those military personnel who were originally with the Armed Forces of Ukraine, most of them died, were injured or were taken prisoner. They were urgently replaced by mobilized citizens or territorial defense soldiers, according to our intelligence.

Mobilized citizens and territorial defense soldiers also have military status, but motivation and combat experience are still different. In the percentage of personnel who were originally here, [remaining from the beginning of the special operation] is about 10%," the source said" the agency's interlocutor said.

According to Bezsonov, he does not know the exact number of foreign mercenaries who are fighting on behalf of Ukraine, but he specified that they try not to go into serious battles and the hottest clashes.
