Russia sabotages Ukraine's operation to hijack RF aircraft

The Federal Security Service of Russia (FSB) reported the sabotage of the military intelligence operation of Ukraine to hijack Russian combat aircraft.

“Ukrainian military intelligence officers, acting on behalf of the political leadership of their country, tried to recruit Russian military pilots for a monetary reward and guarantees of obtaining citizenship of one of the EU countries. To persuade them to fly and land aircraft at airfields controlled by the Armed Forces of Ukraine,” the statement says.

It is emphasized that the operation was supervised by the special services of the NATO countries.

The security forces have already identified participants from among the employees of the Ukrainian special services and their accomplices.

“In the course of the operational game, Russian counterintelligence officers obtained information that helped our Armed Forces inflict fire damage on a number of Ukrainian military facilities,” the statement says.

In addition, the Russian intelligence service published operational video footage showing an employee of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry talking on the phone with a Russian pilot.

"Our goal is an airplane. And you understand this very well. We are ready to pay for it. It is written on the website of the Verkhovna Rada that we officially pay a million (dollars) for such things. We can make a deal with you - another million on top, I guarantee you," the Ukrainian intelligence officer said.

As follows from the above fragments of correspondence between Ukrainian intelligence officers and Russian pilots in messengers, the Ukrainian intelligence was going to pay four thousand dollars in advance for their readiness to hijack the plane, which would be transferred by couriers. The video shows the moment of transfer of this money, the delayed courier and seized dollars.

In Kyiv, they planned to steal the Su-24, Su-34 or Tu-22MZ.
In addition, Ukrainian intelligence tried to stimulate Russian pilots with promises to send their wives to EU countries and provide citizenship or a residence permit.

"As soon as the members of the family of a Russian pilot leave Russia, they immediately become hostages in the hands of the Main Intelligence Directorate. Blackmail, threats, pressure on relatives have become an integral part of the activities of the Ukrainian special services. There are no moral and moral restrictions for them. They would be simply kidnapped," the FSB officer said on the air of the Rossiya 24 TV channel.

According to the plan of Kyiv, the navigator of the plane, which was planned to be hijacked, had to be poisoned with clonidine before departure. Then the plane was allegedly intercepted by Ukrainian fighters in the air and made a forced landing on the territory of Ukraine.
