Russian FM Lavrov: Negotiations with Ukraine make no sense now

The West will not let Ukraine find a diplomatic way out of the current situation, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said in an interview with Margarita Simonyan, editor-in-chief of RT and the Rossiya Segodnya media group.

"I have no doubt that the Ukrainians will not be allowed to negotiate until the Americans decide that 'we've already scandalized enough, made chaos, now we can leave them to themselves, we'll see how they get out," the minister said.

According to him, the United States and Great Britain, by supplying weapons to Kyiv, are trying to push Russia against Europe.

“The fact that Ukraine is literally being kept from any constructive steps, they are literally pumped up with weapons and forced to use them more and more risky, the fact that foreign instructors and specialists serving these systems are sitting there - HIMARS and others are no longer a secret," he said.
