SVT: Retired lieutenant from Sweden dies in Ukraine

A retired Swedish soldier who participated in the hostilities on the side of Kyiv died in the Donetsk region. It is reported by SVT.

The 28-year-old Swede participated in the battles in the Donetsk direction and was mortally wounded because of a grenade explosion. The date of death of the mercenary has not been published.

According to the source SVT, he came to Ukraine "a couple of months ago to share his tactical knowledge." In Sweden, he served in the air force with the rank of lieutenant. Before leaving, he retired from the army.

SVT adds that it is aware of other Swedes present in Ukraine - they serve both in the international brigade and in other units subordinate to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Moreover, according to the source of the portal, among them there are those who did not quit the Swedish armed forces and thereby violated the law of the country.
