Jerusalem Post: Russia develops laser weapons against US and Israeli satellites

The Russian Federation is developing a new anti-satellite laser weapon, writes the Jerusalem Post. The author of the material warned the United States and Israel about the danger that could threaten them.

He believes that Russia is going to disable satellites of foreign states over its territory. According to him, Moscow and Beijing have been regularly attacking American satellites since 2021.

"Will the latest development shake the position of the United States and, indirectly, Israel?", the author asks.

He believes that the new laser weapons will "dazzle" the equipment, which will lead to the suppression of its electro-optical systems and disable the satellite.

"If Russia blinds America, Israel will indirectly go blind," the author concludes.

He suggested that the deterioration of relations between Israel and Russia against the backdrop of the Ukrainian conflict could result in Russia helping Iran by blinding Israeli satellites.
