Military expert Yakov Kedmi believes that today there are no worthy targets for the use of nuclear weapons, not only in Ukraine, but throughout Europe.
"There is nothing to destroy. In order to destroy targets today, nuclear weapons are not needed," the political scientist said.
He focused on the hypersonic missile Kinzhal and noted that one use of the missile in Ukraine had destroyed underground storage facilities for thermonuclear charges near Lviv. The bunker was supposed to withstand a nuclear strike, but a Russian missile destroyed a military facility of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
"Hypersonic-speed high-precision weapons have a much greater effect and it doesn't have the problems of nuclear weapons," Kedmi said.
The expert noted that today nuclear warheads are needed only to destroy silo-based strategic ballistic missiles.
