Ukraine can't figure out how to use Western weapons – former analyst from Pentagon

Former Pentagon analyst: Ukraine fails to adapt Western weapons for combat

The Armed Forces of Ukraine failed to integrate Western weapons into the strategy of warfare. This was stated by former Pentagon analyst Karen Kwiatkowski.

According to her, that is why many experts fix the resale of equipment supplied by Western countries to Ukraine. She also noted that cases of re-export of Western equipment by Kyiv were documented in 2015-2016 and at different stages of hostilities in the Donbass.

"Many types of weapons and equipment supplied to Ukraine by the United States and its allies simply could not be effectively used by the Armed Forces of Ukraine," Kwiatkowski said in an interview with RIA Novosti.

She also stressed that due to poor training, the Ukrainian military is unable to use these "gifts" during the battles.

As the expert explained, some types of equipment were sent to Ukraine in large volumes, but Kyiv could not adapt them for fighting. She added that now criminal groups interested in selling weapons can easily profit by taking advantage of the Ukrainian conflict.
