Japan may be left without Russian oil and gas – Medvedev

Medvdedev: Russia may deprive Japan of oil and gas

Deputy head of the Security Council Dmitry Medvedev, commenting on the statement of the head of the Japanese government Fumio Kishida about the price ceiling for Russian oil, said that Tokyo would not receive energy from Russia and could forget about participation in Sakhalin-2.

Earlier, Kishida said that the decision to limit the cost of Russian oil has already been made. At the same time, the Kremlin noted that such a statement in itself does not mean that these measures were supported by other countries.

"Translated from Japanese into Russian, this means: there will be significantly less oil on the market, and its price will be much higher. Moreover, it will be higher than the predicted astronomical price of $ 300-400. Compare with the dynamics of gas prices. But Japan will not have no oil and no gas from Russia, as well as the participation in the Sakhalin-2 LNG project,” he wrote on his Telegram channel.
