Trust between Russia and the European Union can be restored over time. This opinion was announced by Finnish Foreign Minister Pekka Haavisto in an interview with El Mundo.
The Minister stressed that the Finnish-Russian border is currently very calm, and the Finnish Embassy in Moscow remains open.
“We have many families on both sides of the border, we must remember this at the human level, regardless of disagreements at the political level,” he urged.
According to Haavisto, after the start of Russia's special operation in Ukraine, trust disappeared and it will take time to restore it.
“I am convinced that someday this trust will return, but it is very difficult to say how and when,” he said.
Ukrainians are fleeing the cities that could be taken by the Russian army. Apartment prices have already dropped by as much as 50 percent in Kharkiv. Housing sales have increased in Odessa as well, even if compared to 2022
