The German government was outraged by the Lithuanian authorities' ban on transportation to Kaliningrad and insists on its cancellation, according to the German Der Spiegel, citing its own information.
According to the publication, the blockade of transportation may soon be lifted at the request of the German side.
“There is a movement in the dispute over the ban on the transit of certain goods to the Russian exclave of Kaliningrad. This measure may soon be lifted - also at the request of Germany", writes the author.
According to him, the German government "insists on the exclusion of this area in order to avoid escalation."
Brussels may publish a so-called guide, that is, a legal explanation for the fourth package of sanctions, which will clarify that transportation to Kaliningrad is not affected by the sanctions.
