Reuters reveals when Zelensky is willing to end the conflict in Ukraine

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has told to the G7 leaders that he wants hostilities in the country to end by the end of the year before the winter, Reuters reported, citing EU diplomats.

Zelensky spoke via video to G7 leaders on Monday.

Despite the statement about the desire to resolve the confrontation before the end of the year, Zelensky stressed that it is too early to use diplomatic methods.

"President Zelensky has given a very clear answer that now is not the time for negotiations. Ukraine will negotiate when it has the opportunity to do so. That is, when it restores a position of strength," Agence France-Presse reported, citing the Elysee Palace.

The G7 summit, chaired by Germany, takes place from 26 to 28 June at Elmau Castle in Bavaria. The leaders of Senegal, South Africa, Argentina, India, Indonesia were also invited to it.
