The European Union has decided to provide Ukraine with financial assistance of 9 billion euros, Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki said after the end of the EU summit on Friday in Brussels.
According to him, in Ukraine "there is nothing to pay nurses, teachers, policemen, border guards with".
"But these people have to live for something. Therefore, we have approved 9 billion euros in aid to Ukraine," Morawiecki said.
French President Emmanuel Macron does not exclude sending NATO troops to Ukraine for security in Europe and for Russia's defeat in the conflict. There is currently no consensus on the need to send NATO troops to the country
