Ukrainian troops received a command to withdraw from Severodonetsk to new positions, the head of the Lugansk regional military administration Serhiy Gaidai, appointed by Kyiv, said on the air of the Dom channel.
According to him, "it makes no sense to be in broken positions, because every day the number of dead in unfortified territories can proportionally grow."
"Therefore, such a decision was made that our defenders who are there <...> they have already received a command to withdraw to new positions and from there to conduct normal full-fledged military operations," Gaidai said.
He added that the infrastructure of Severodonetsk is completely broken, from 80% to 90% of houses are damaged or destroyed.
In turn, yesterday, Assistant Minister of the Interior of the LPR Vitaly Kiselev said that Lisichansk and Severodonetsk would be completely blocked by the Luhansk security forces within a week. Later, Lieutenant Colonel of the People's Militia Andriy Marochko announced the beginning of the surrender of the Ukrainian military.
