Junge Welt: Germany ready to use the "climate killer" against Russia

According to the head of the Ministry of Economy Robert Habek, coal energy needs to be revived so that the coming winter does not turn out to be too hard. The authorities are also thinking about how to lift the ban on the technology of extracting natural gas by hydraulic fracturing - fracking.

“In fact, fracking is a real climate killer,” writes author Raphael Schmeller.

He considers such statements to be "fatal news" for the climate. The author recalled the climatic changes of recent years, when fires raged in many regions of the world during abnormal heat.

Now, in his opinion, the German authorities are "zealously adding fuel to the fire." It is noteworthy, according to Schmeller, that such anti-environmental measures are proposed by a minister who is a member of the Green Party.

The author comes to the conclusion that the authorities are ready to go for a "climate collapse" in order to defeat Putin.
