Anti-Russian sanctions hit the West and the United States, worsening Washington's position in international politics, multibillionaire Ray Dalio said in an interview with Der Spiegel.
In his opinion, this can be explained by the reaction of other countries that have become afraid to invest in Washington securities.
“The West is suffering from these sanctions. Other states are being heavily released from US government bonds, as they are afraid that they will be treated the same way as Russia. This changes the balance of power around the world,” Dalio said.
At the same time, he noted that anti-Russian measures were ineffective, as they did not achieve their goals.
However, there is no way for the United States to act otherwise, since economic sanctions are the only available weapon that the States can use against Moscow, Dalio added.
