Zelensky: more than five million Ukrainians left the country after Russian operation began

Zelensky names the quantity of refugees who left Ukraine after Russian operation began

Since the beginning of the Russian special operation, over 5 million Ukrainians left the country. This was stated by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

He noted that he does not want to call these people refugees, as he believes in their return home after peace is established in Ukraine.

"During this time, more than 5 million Ukrainians were forced to leave their homes and go abroad," Zelensky stressed.

Earlier, US Ambassador to Ukraine Bridget Brink said that Kyiv should decide for itself when it should return to the negotiation process with the Russian delegation.

At the same time, a military observer, retired colonel Viktor Baranets is convinced that dialogue with Ukraine should be resumed only after the demilitarization tasks set by Russian President Vladimir Putin have been completed. According to him, it is now impossible to negotiate with Zelensky.
