NATO to open funds to support military reforms in Ukraine

On December 2, NATO Foreign Ministers in Brussels will launch four trust funds to assist Ukraine. The officials will also discuss the defense system of the alliance and the withdrawal of troops from Afghanistan.

Meetings of NATO-Ukraine and NATO-Georgia commissions will be conducted in Brussels at the ministerial level too, TASS reports.

NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said that foreign ministers of the alliance were going to officially launch four trust funds to support military reforms in Ukraine. The funds are to finance "reforms and modernization of the Ukrainian army in four sectors: logistics, command and control, cyber defense, military medicine and rehabilitation of the wounded."

Stoltenberg said that NATO did not have a possibility to supply weapons to Kiev. "The alliance has no weapon that it could sent to Ukraine," said the official.
