Nine passengers of MH17 remain unidentified

 

Experts have identified the remains of 289 passengers of the Malaysian Boeing 777 that crashed in the Donetsk region, Minister of Security and Justice of the Netherlands, Ivo Opstelten said. 

The remains of nine people still remain unidentified. The works to find the bodies of the passengers of the crashed plane are still underway. "Our goal is to identify all victims of the plane crash," Ivo Opstelten said at the Airport of Kharkov.

The minister hopes that as soon as the weather allows to continue the works, all the bodies will be found.

Malaysia Airlines Boeing 777, flight MH17, from Amsterdam (Netherlands) to Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia), crashed in the Donetsk region on July 17.

There were 298 people on board, all of them died. According to the preliminary results of the investigation conducted by Dutch experts, the plane crashed when a multitude of solid object struck the body of the aircraft at high speed.
