British Ambassador to Russia: Problem of Kaliningrad Is not World's Hardest to Resolve

As Sir Roderic Lyne, the Ambassador of Great Britain to Russia said at a press conference today, the problem of the Kaliningrad Region is not political but technical. Sir Roderic said that because Great Britain was mot a member country of the Schengen Convention, she could not take part in resolving this problem. However, London would like to support the economic development of Russia's enclave.

'I am sure', Sir Roderic further said, 'a mutually advantageous solution will be found soon. The problem of Kaliningrad is sufficiently serious for Russia but it is not the World's hardest problem to resolve.
